“I use two-factor authentication for Twitter because I’m a fairly big target for hacks”... but you’re also a person using modern internet services. Target or otherwise, MFA should always be used- especially for top-level OAuth providers.

It sounds like the UK Treasury is going for the post-rugpull-NFT-Discord-server vibe, which considering what they’ve done with the pound…

Anyway I can see the logic in them using Discord for announcements, in that Discord is at least less broken than Twitter is right now.

For the record I don't know how a power grid works either but I would have been okay with the metaphor if you did the research or not.

I liked the piece on the Evans stans and agree it is so retro internet stuff. It feels like someone took those angry at John Mullaney thinkpieces and reworded it. I'm also of the thought that with a lot of stars leaning into this sort of Fandom, this sort of Stan behavior is just going to keep escalating.
