I realize this is a late comment (I'm a new-ish subscriber here going through the backlog) but as someone who spent approximately 80% of their free time from ages 9-14 discussing Warrior Cats on the internet, and who constantly realizes that almost every new internet friend I make also did the same thing back in the day, you calling it a "niche book series" is funny. (Unless that was ironic and I missed the tone, in which case my bad!) I am constantly surprised that the kids of today are STILL reading Warrior Cats, though.
