To think Musk could buy Truth Social today for $650M and have an audience comprised 99.5% of people who fundamentally, to their cores, believe that being very rich automatically makes you very smart.
Music AI is a bit passe at this point. Band In A Box has been doing AI generated arrangements/solos for over a decade now. I dare you to generate a John Coltrane solo over a pop punk rhythm section...
Why doesn't Musk just buy Tik-tok? I am rooting for the demise of twitter and hope that the next platform won't have people casually calling it a useless hellsite that Ashton Kutcher uses to update people about what salad he's eating. From the very beginning Twitter was something to be ashamed about using. It feels like cigarettes to my brain. And what's worse is seeing people you originally thought were funny or talented turn into hacks telling the same joke as everyone else does.
I liked Allegra's lines about the 15 century pretender to the throne, slaughter house-chutes, and the (unpaid) hours of labor that go into making fan communities work. It's sad to see GameSpot go as it was my go to site in the 2000s for updates on wrestling games for the GameCube, but honestly it's amazing it lasted this long.
Twitter as a pvp arena is one of your analyses that seems way too spot on. I hope you're right about musk not making twitter worse, I don't know about people leaving twitter though. Twitter is only over if dril leaves and he'll never leave.
