Last night’s Garbage Day Live was standing room only

Managing editor Cates here! Yesterday was the first of three shows we’re hosting at Baby’s All Right in Brooklyn, and it was great! The whole team prepped for it well in advance — we did rehearsals (IN PERSON) together, planned the whole thing down to the second, it was smooth like butter. The venue was fantastic, Kevin the light and sound guy was a delight to work with. Ryan wore a suit. And y’all showed up and brought incredible energy. It was so nice to meet some of you in person!

Then Ryan’s laptop totally and completely crapped out mid-show. Lol. Lmao even.

After an impromptu intermission to address technical difficulties, during which Ryan came this close to actually showing feet, we got the ball rolling again and ended the evening on what I can only describe as one of the most unhinged internet IRL things I have ever experienced. It was fun!

Ryan is currently at Micro Center waiting to find out if he can save his laptop. So no issue today. See you Friday!

And if you want to experience something like last night, you’re in luck. We’ve got two more nights of Garbage Day Live — the next one is April 7th and will feature special guest Akilah Hughes. If you don’t know Akilah, there’s something wrong with you. She’s a writer, comedian, podcaster (check out How Is This Better?), and all around delightful human being.

P.S. here’s the picture of his laptop Ryan sent the team when he got home last night
